A New Challenge

This is BLOG number 1, written at a time of change at David Mills Ltd. For the first time since 1902 a family that doesn't hold the Mills family name Owns and Operates the little shop at 116 King Street, Pukekohe, a responsibility not lost on us, Carl and Kihini Shields and our daughters, Kiara and Anyah. As a family we understand the importance of the story behind a business, and it was very much a part of the way we ran Yakety Yak over the 9 years that we were there, David Mills Ltd is no different only its story is much longer and spans generations already.

Our promise is that we will always respect and uphold the intentions of this history and will always strive to grow the story and enhance the reputation of this Iconic piece of Pukekohe retail and Town Centre history. 

With that promise comes the challenge of learning and understanding the industry and the products we provide to our community. The guidance from John and the family is going to be paramount to the future success, growth of the store and continuation of its story.
